Actually several NSX owners run the Wings West front air dam, in fact at least half of the Florida NSX Club members do. It's a great looking piece made of eurethane, not fiberglass like Marga Hills. My car is lowered and a fiberglass front end wouldn't hold up very well. Burn-up makes some very nice stuff and they are much more reasonable than Marga Hills. I actually run the Marga Hills sideskirts with the Burn-up rear wing. I guess you could say I have all the bases covered.

I mentioned this back in Nov when I got back from SEMA, the one they had there I was able to wiggle the ends just pinched between my 2 fingers up and down at least 4", I would hate to be behind it on the freeway after its installed by some ham-fisted idiot with harware store pop rivets

Phile,
The car's setup for tracks like Sebring and Homestead but I did run it through the 1/4 last summer when the NOPI nationals came through town. I only got to make one run which was 12.49et and 112.50mph. It wasn't a clean run and I had the Burn-up wing on the back which has a good bit of drag for that sort of thing. A perfect run would probably yield something around a 12.2et and 115mph. It's plenty fast for around town as I've only had trouble with a couple of highly modified Supras. As for ZO6's, Porsche turbos, Vipers....bye bye.

I'm sure bird doo would ruin the weight distribution on
the wing. Uneven weight = bent sheet metal on
the trunk.

I wondering how many pileups this will cause as people (even those in Yugos) laugh uncontrollably and crash into the median.

I ordered one for my car...i love the single column support and the gentle curvature of the wing surface. At speed, I was told , it would level out for maximum aerodynamic efficiency reducing drag thereby increasing my top speed by 5-10mph. The 'W' emblem on the sides are inset creating an air pocket to further increase efficiency. The Pedestal is my favorite part...really looks strong and supportive...every time i see it i get nostalgic for my Erector Sets from my youth. Oh boy I can't wait for it to arrive so i can have it installed professionally at the airport.

Man....

it makes me want to grab both ends of the wing...
place feet on the license plate area and thrust back until the wing cracks off.

In the near future, I bet I'm gonna see these wings on the road because some tacky Z owner wanted to be "different".

Then somebody is going to be like "What the Fug is that?? a Nissan?? that car is ugly!!"

Funny Story!

Back in November, when i saw the prototype, I actually called Wings West to ask them for a sponsorship. At that time, my car was a bone stock Track Edition and I had ZERO sponsors.

So i call this guy up at Wings West, and let me tell you, not only did he say no to my request for sponsorship; the lecture went on for 30 minutes of why he did not want to sponsor me.

Then he went into how he is the #3 guy at the company and that he built this and that car and how he can pick up the phone and get on the cover of superstreet anytime he wanted. as well as to point out they already have a Daytona Blue 350Z.

A simple No thanks would have been suffice. So the next day i began my pursuit of a custom body kit. And I am 100% positive that my Z has gotten more press than their car. So i want to thank that #3 person at Wings West for being rude. Maybe that works in laid back LA. But homey don't play that.

And i am glad i didnt get that wing. Looks like the back of a yacht cruise ship.

believe it or not, it's a copy. I saw the original wing in Japan. I think it was on a supra though...

Wings West has no design skills, they cut and paste the same kit on 10 different cars, regardless of the car's body lines. When it's a decent kit, it's usually because it's a rip off of somebody elses.
