Default 06 G Projector Retro

I'm looking to do similar work with Z headlights. I have yet been able to get a pair of Z headlights to work with...any volunteers? Discount available for the first set.

Finished, more pictures tomorrow bc it's raining.

Cutoff at 25ft
Color is a bit off bc of the camera.
Will have road shots later tomorrow.

Low beams

Right lowbeam

Right Foglight

Both Lowbeam foglight

Both High beam on (right side only)

Setup

That's all for now...

I can be a volunteer in a month when school ends and i no longer drive the Z... Let me know how much it would cost. I want a flat black housing as well.. I live in NJ.

the G has so much room to work with, the Z headlights honestly have room for one projector and that's it.

On the contrary, studying my headlights lately. I think there's plenty of room for two projectors... IF the signal light was retro'ed to the bottom where high beams are and the high beam gets retro'ed to the signal light, and then a big low beam projector on stock position.

I would love to see some real projectors on our 03-05 models, no more stupid lens magnifier

I'd think that the 03-05 is the better candidate.

What's behind the projector in the signal part of the housing?

Great job on the project.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

The headlight on the 03-05 Z is definitely large enough to fit multiple projectors, it just will require custom brackets, but that's also necessary for 06 Gs, so not a big deal, I will need to custom fabricate a shroud to make it look stock.

It's LED 194s behind the projectors. I chose this so in the distant future that it does burn out, it will be easy to replace relatively to just soldered LEDs.

As far as the turnsignal, it's just the Lens in a stock turn signal in the 06 with regular turn signal bulbs.

jimmyloose already contacted me. If he decides to not go with the project, you will be next in line, if you can do this asap. Otherwise plumpzz is in front of you.

PM me with what you are looking for, I will give you very fair prices, given it will be my starting sets for the Zs.

did you create those for the G? if so, how much time/money did you put into those lights?

I did put it all together for the G, now I will be working on a set for the Z, look for the retro soon (fingers crossed)

Time wise, it takes about a solid 2 weeks to build, test and fine tune. Material wise is about $1000 not including the headlights themselves.

so, ideally, if you were able to shrink the time needed to build/test/tune, what price would you be looking for to reproduce these for a fellow member?

Well, I already disclosed how much the materials are, so you are looking at somewhere above that. If you are interested, we can talk about it. Pm me.
