Default WANT PICS: Aerosync (or similar) bumper w/ center "line" cut out?

Has anyone done this (thinking it might help facilitate more air to the IC)?

Pics? Here's my photoshop...

I'd be removing the plate for track days etc but I see no reason to **** off the cops in NYS the rest of the time...

Thanks.

What I'm kinda looking for is, from a technical standpoint - will it be of any benefit or just aesthetics

It seems to me that the benifits would not out weight the bad side of this. You won't be gaining a whole lot more airflow (hardly any actually). Front bumpers like this are design to flow air as is. However if you take out the center bar, you're losing alot strength. I would be afriad of flex when driving at high speeds or if you bump it on the road.

Default Here's mine

These pics are before I removed the two black plastic pieces and before I installed the grill. Now everything looks "blacked out." Hope this helps.

IMO it looks better in, the hole just looks too gaping to me... In your pics it isn't as noticeable because of the license plate, but the above pics just aren't my thing.... No offense, just my personal opinion.

it looks good, but maybe a grill would make it look a little more "neat"

that's what I'm inclined to think... leaning toward "leaving it" at this rate.

Pointless. That cross bar is what makes the Nismo v1 bumper unique. Taking it out just gives you a stock bumper with US Nismo lip.

+1. If that's the look you want, just buy a nismo lip and cut out the grill on your car. My car doesn't have the Nismo lip but this is what the stock bumper looks like without the plastic grill.

I agree to a certain extent. The Aerosync gets rid of the emblem and gives a seamless look for the lip. Yes I know you can mold all of that, but that would be a pita. I was torn between just cutting out the plate holder and reinforcing the middle bar, or just cutting everything out. I agree it looks bad without the grill installed, but now it looks nice and clean and flows well with the car. A much cleaner look if you ask me and it is a little different from everyone else. Just a matter of taste I guess.
