It simply designed to rest on the washer that is under the OEM or Aftermarket boot if you kept it.It was orginally designed to go with my shift **** to finish off the bottom part.I sell the S.S one's because they were made with the Shift **** , I also later had some Aluminum one's made locally because I was getting some interest from former customers.I can sell the Aluminum one's shipped by Mail for $11.00

So is the top of the boot really ugly or something that it needs to be covered by a finisher? Seems a simple alternative to eliminate a gap would be to put a tight rubber washer under the boot to hold up up agaist the bottom of the new ****...

it looks much better in person then in the pic. when you see it with the whole interior, it looks like it a good match. not perfect but still looks great.

I have similar one like this, buying the finisher now, hopefully it will solve. I'll post a pic when I got them installed.

Ok, just installed my evo-R **** with a rubber spacer under the boot and it looks just fine with no gaps. I may try one of these finishers, though; it may give it a more finished look. I don't suppose we can order these anodized? I'd like an AL one anodized black...

Home Depot $1.69, in the plumbing section, Ballcock Shank Washer, made of rubber and comes in a red/green wrapper. Seen it on the threads so I had to get it! Looks good and for cheap!

I currently have the rubber finisher.. I dont like it that much since it's hard to tighten the **** since the rubber grips on the leather and turns the leather with it. I've already ripped the leather a bit from the stupid rubber finisher...

I got the $7 Al version of the ZeeToyz finisher and painted it satin black for use with my Evo-R burnt Ti **** and Redline Goods leather shift boot. Looks and works great.

For best results, I did have to wrap some tape around the shifter shaft to center the finisher and prevent it from shifting around a bit, since the hole is larger than the shaft. I also put a zip-tie around the shaft to hold the leather boot and finisher up tight to the ****, as there was still a little slop once the **** was cranked down. No big deal at all and with the little extra attention, it came out perfect. I'll try to get a good pic up sometime soon.

First I had the Nismo Titanium on without any finisher and then I added this finisher. Without the finisher it sat a little lower (like a poor man's shirt shifter), but looks way better with the finisher in my opinion. Also, I changed the boot to real leather which just looks great.
