Default Nissan Front & Rear Badges

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can get a hold of some technical design drawings (detailing dimensions etc) for the front and rear Nissan badges? And also the Side Z badge?

It's a long shot but try asking Nissan, that's the best I can think of.

There are machines that can do scan them three dimensionally, but I doubt you have access to one of those.

The Z has not been released in the UK yet...

... but what we are trying to achieve is a replacement front & rear Z badge - I know Artsci has been working on this for some time, but I possibly would like to go another route.

Really all I would need now is the overall external dimensions (preferably in millimetres) for the front & rear Nissan emblems.

Our dealers do not have the parts numbers, even though they are probably one of the standard Nissan Emblems (but which one?) - Are front & rear emblems the same size?

I am looking at making a shaped backing that I can then insert the side emblem into, but obviously the backing has to fit the shaped indent in the nose correctly.

Any help much appreciated (hope I'm not hijacking your thread looney)

Wasn't Courtesy Parts selling the smaller black emblem (the one just behind the front wheel on the side of the car) at one time?

As always, you are correct!!!

I have two of these very articles sitting on a shelf waiting for me to make a shaped rear mount.

Hence, my predicament - I don't know the size of the recess in the front bumper, or the size of the normal Nissan Emblem (front & rear)...

...please help me out here

maybe someone could trace it & measure out the dims (preferably in millimetres) - don't make me beg...

I can't even get hold of the badges, even if I had access to a 3D scanner.

The more the merrier

A plastic or metal moulding (chrome coated) seems like the best avenue to follow (neater). Though about a one hundred piece lot would be needed to make it cost effective.

Cost would be £12UK for Z badge & approx. £20/40UK for the moulding, depending on material used.
Replaceing both front and rear for £64UK (~US$80)

Manufacturer would need accurate dims, or the three parts (there would be an additional design fee in this case) .

I'm less hopeful about the rear badge though, as I'm sure it will be way too small to recieve the Z logo.

Q. How big is your Z keyring? Too small for the rear?
Q. Do you think 100 peeps would be interested?
Q. Do you have a 3D scanner?
Q. Does anyone else have access to a 3D scanner?
Q. Could you 'try' begging?

Sorry, no answers...
