Default Car pickup tomorrow, what to do?

So I should be getting my car tomorrow.... I asked the dealer not to use their paint protectant on it. I went ahead and told them to do their interior protection, just not the external.

So now what should I put on the car? I don't have any Zaino, and probably won't be ordering any, what should I pick up from the store and use? Should I use a paint protectant? Or just a straight wax?

Thanks for your advice.

Chris

I'm no detailer, but I would get the easiest coat of some wax on it. I took mine to a detailer after a week because I thought the dealer did something to protect the paint. Turns out, they barely washed the car.

I would think a coat of wax would hold you until you can decide what you really want to put on it.

Enjoy the new car!

I'm an amature with waxing and had the same problem. I used Meguire's paste wax and worked and looks great. Easy on, easy off. Also, no swirl marks and priced at around $10.00 at Walmart!! Hope this helps. If you want a more professional wax, I heard on this forum that Zaino was best. Good luck!!
