Default TiTek and other Air ducts

Is there anybody who has regreted cutting up their bumper and installing one of these ducts?

I'm thinking about getting the TiTek but not sure if it will make the car look worse, better or about the same.

I'm mostly thinking about doing it because the front of the car looks plain in comparison to the rest of my car. A vented hood is out, so this is all I was thinking about doing to rice it out more, I mean spruce up the front and help get rid of the smiley looking Cheveron toy car face..

Personally I don't think I would hate or love the way it looks but maybe it will give the front a little extra something. I'm sure they look better than pics?

They definitely look good in person. Performance on this mod is minimal.

Yes I think at 497 MPH, you will gain about .3 HP. I'm just kinda bored and want to do a small project.

Mr. Hand would be proud of you Spicoli . LOL

I am being told by some body shop guys that they can "weld" that thing into the bumper so no seams show when painted.

I'm afraid of it cracking, but they tell me this is no longer a problem, because they would use a compound that was in-between the rigidity of the bumper and the duct.

Anyone have any thoughts on that? Can this really be done?

I think air duct's are a huge help. engine bay gets super hot (especially FI'd cars). I think vented hoods and air ducts are under rated mods.

If you're still not fired up about it after two months then don't bother. If you're going to cut a whole in your front bumper you should be sure about it. With that said, I have a Varis on my SB and love the look, no regrets but to each their own.

I have the titek cut out and some piping leading from the cutout directly to my intake. After driving the car around for 20-30 minutes it feels much better then it did before.

I can pop my hood after just driving the car and the intake will not be hot (like it was before I installed the cutout and the piping).

Going 80+mph or driving around for awhile, you will notice a difference.

I've been thinking of doing this mod myself.... This mod has been shown (according to UTEC logs) to lean out the AFR slightly in ther upper MPH's/ RPM's. Not neccessarily a bad thing. I'm only concerned with water, debris, dirt, small birds, etc going into the intake while driving.... Mine is a daily driver...

I cut my bumper and didn't get it straight, The template sucked. It looked like it was drawn by hand and very badly at that. Got a new bumper cover and this time I will use my own template.
