I got this idea from a japanese skyline owner. He was waiting for his composite side/body panels to come in...

Does anyone know how much would it be to manufacture new body panels for the left/right rear quarter ( rear wheel well ) and the left/right front panels ( front wheel well )? Would there be significant weight savings going from steel to something like fiberglass/polyurethane/carbon? Also it might be nice cause then you can get the fenders for the wheels rolled out to support larger wheels while getting some weight reduction?

The doors I'm hesistant about because they probably have crash impact equipment in it (braces) and also they have a lot of hardware mounted to the door shell.
