the saga continues......

I think the CF would go with your whole theme.

Nice hood. I just went through the same process. If the CF is too expensive then get the FRP hood and paint it all silver. I like the CF painted with vents left CF but its been done a lot!

^ Good idea. Any takers?

Yeah, I like the painted hoods with CF vents, but it HAS been done alot. I'm leaning toward the fully painted FRP. I kind of have a "silver bullet" theme going on, so keeping the hood all silver falls in line with that and there will still be some dark accents from the vents themselves. Still, CF is so darn pretty...

Bump. More opinions needed; the polls are too close.

This hood is awesome IMO, but expensive. I'd say run with it CF (non-painted) for a while and see what you think. Post pics and then see if someone could Photoshop it for you both with and without vents painted silver. Then get it painted if you like. I don't think you can "unpaint" a CF hood so you better be sure... I say small steps. Get the CF hood first and run with it CF for a month and see what you think while the Photoshop pros out there do their magic for you.

^ yeah, the cost of the CF is pretty high, which is why I want to decide on the look before I buy. I'd never spend that much on a CF hood only to paint the whole thing; the FRP version is half the price, so if I'm painting it all, that's the way to go for sure.
