Default 04 vs 06 body changes?

Thinking about buying my uncles 04 white z but Im also looking at the 06 as well. Other than the wheels what changes (if any) did they make to the appearance? He has a 04 performance pkg 6spd with 46k on the clock asking 19k. I could always just put the 06 or 07 wheels on but I was just wondering. Sorry in advance if this question has been asked a hundred times just new on the forum.

there's no difference ... except for tail lights and head lights, body appearance is pretty much the same. changes is mostly interior and performance

Yeah, i'd say the lights are the only noticable difference.

I think but not certain that the 06 front bumber is a bit different so some add on lips won't fit. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

the front bumper was revised for the '06 models as was the interior. not to mention the '04 is a non-revup and the '06 has the rev-up motor.

Improvements of the 06+
  • Revised tranny CD009
  • New Motor Rev Up
  • LED rear lights
  • True projector front lights
  • revised front bumper (different lip and reflectors)
  • larger calipers and rotors
  • New wheel design
  • revised center console
  • Extra cup holders on door
  • AC plug in front dash
  • Extra door panel inserts
  • steering wheel audio control
  • TPMS system showing high/low vs. actual PSI (I may be wrong here might be 07)
  • Different cubby design
  • Performance package was deleted from the lineup.

okay then it's the 07s then. I read somewhere that this feature has changed. I know for the G35s it's high/low since 2005.

Someone should sticky this, in case it hasn't been done already. Does Edmunds, Car and Driver or any other magazine keep a chronological listing of vehicle updates and changes? I think I saw some somewhere...

It would come in handy...

I have an 06 myself but I still can't quite figure out the bumper differences between 03-05 and 06-07.
