Replacing or fixing the driver's side mirror
Ok... I was backing out of the garage and ran into my roommates truck which I had struck my drivers side rear view mirror. So, the mirror broke off the bracket and hanging off from the cord. My roommate and I took apart the whole mirror to get the cord off of the mirror unit and rigged it for now. Does anyone know where I can purchase or "engineer" guru the piece back together. The dealership says that I need to replace the whole mirror and the bracket which costs 380.00 plus labor. Why can you just get a new bracket piece? Has this happen to anyone? Please comments, concerns, suggestions woudl be helpful. Thank you

ahha omg this exact samethinig happened to me, but it was this lady that knocked mine off. i only needed the bracket and they don't sell the bracket by itself. look online at like ebay for used ones or try and buy it off somewhere here. i got the bracket off this guy for like 50$. so i got a good deal. just find people with aftermarket mirrors and they most likely have the stocks sitting around. i would have tried to fix mine but it was in like 10 pieces.
Anybody, I'm looking for either the whole mirror casing or just the bracket that attaches mirror to the car on the drivers side. I have an 06, but one from an '03-'05 should fit. Factory grey if possible
