How close is the Asuka and the Mastergrade CF roof?

Yes. You must rough up the clear in order for the epoxy to bond properly. I don't trust the 3M tape that came with the roof, so I epoxied it.
If you plan to epoxy you should sand you existing clear coat so it can adhere properly. We've installed half a dozen with the 3m double sided tape provided and none have had issues. It's really up to the car owner and what they feel more comfortable with. Cars looking sick MD
