I don't run a front plate on either my Z or my Miata. I've never had a problem............Maybe it's because I'm old.

Check your local laws regarding front plate display. If it's required, then do what ya gotta do. If required and you don't display one, that's your choice, but don't be a douche like some others here and start a thread down the road about how you got f*cked over by some cop with nothing better to do.

In NY you must have one...

I took mine off one day before I washed my car, went for a drive afterwards and was immediately pulled over by a trooper.

Just put it on.

I use the Stillen front license plate. It bolts into the tow hook receptible. Make sure you get the right diameter and length. Older Zs had smaller diameters and Stillen makes the same brackets for other Nissan lines with differnt grill setbacks.

You can also do a search here for "zee bracket" and you should find vendors that sell them. They allow you to install the front plate without having to drill into the bumper.

send bimma78 a PM... I saw that he made a pretty cool one for some of the local people.. It attaches onto the front tow hook like the stillen.. but i think he charges less and it's higher quality..
