The Z doesn't have a cabin air filter to replace.

Chances are, there's just dust and other crud settled in the system. It will burn out after a while. turn the heater up full blast then drive around with the windows down to air the car out.

Do you leave the heat/AC on auto? If so, try switching to manual and shut the whole system off 3-5 minutes before you turn off your car. A lot of people notice various smells -- usually with the AC system, because they run it in auto mode.

Using the auto mode seems to cause additional moisture buildup once the car has been turned off, which can lead to some of these various odors. Shutting the system off early tends to help it dry out a little better.

some people also just get some AC vent spray? or something to hide the smell.

I've never used the heater on any of my vehicles.

If you want, I can turn my heater on tomorrow and let you know how it smells.
