Default PLEASE HELP: touch up paint tips and techniques

okay. about two weeks ago a bought a new 08 PPW. just yesterday i thought "hey, i'll look at the front end to make sure i havent drug it on any curbs when parking". well, i found that i had and that there were two deep scratches (knicking into the bumper itself) and several other shallow ones on both sides of the front bumper. they are not visible unless you get down to street level, but it still bothers me. anyways, today i went to the dealer and bought the touch up paint for the car (came with both base and top coats).

1.) should i use the pen or the brush?
2.) does anybody have any good suggestions for techniques or tips for fixing my scratches?
3.) does wet sanding hurt the paint around the scratches?

i have searched through the forum for a few hours and havent found anything that really satisfied me.

I know that some/most of you guys have had experience with this, so what did you do to fix it?

Please help...

well this is what i did to fix some scratches and it came out ok. not perfect. but ok.

anyway, first applied the touch up paint. you can use either the brush or tip i suppose. you can also use a toothpick. anyway, apply and let it dry for a week. then wetsanded it to smooth it out(cant remember exactly what grit i used.) and then used Meguiars ScratchX to remove the scratches left by sanding it.

good luck

a. Clean the area with isopropyl alcohol.
b. Apply a coat of white Rust-oleum appliance touch-up paint #203000.
c. Allow to dry.
d. Apply a coat of Nissan touch-up paint #999PP-TQQX1TC.
e. Allow to dry.
f. Wax as usual.

I have tried several methods to touch-up Pikes Peak White. The key is the base coat. You may have to experiment with several techniques.
