Default Ultra Yellow Touch Up Paint

Hey guys,

Well I went to a local shop to install my alarm that I just purchased..and the dude chipped the paint on my center console that I had painted Ultra Yellow to match the color of my car.

He said to bring it back tomorrow so that he can get it fixed but...it is too much hassle to take the center console out..have it painted...and put back on.

So I was wondering do they still have the touch-up paint for the 05' Ultra Yellow paint at the Nissan dealerships? And if so, does it match completely or there might be a slight difference?

Also, has anyone ordered touch-up paint from CourtesyParts.com? Here is there website with the paint....http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z/paint.html

Thanks for the feedback...as if the Nissan Dealerships do have touch-up paint..I can go purchase it tommorrow morning.

I thought the dealerships carry it. I really can't recall. Who originally painted the console? Does he have some left over? Everytime I have something painted, I get them to mix me up extra in a small bottle for touch up's. Usually there's always paint left over.

Nissan touch-up paint is a hit-and-miss proposition. Sometimes it works - sometimes it does not. I have found that the key is the base coat. For recommendations check the detailing forum.

Thanks for the comments

JET MECH, where did you buy yours? From the Nissan Dealership? Did you put a clear coat on top?

VIZAGE, My bro-in-law brought it to the body shop to get it paint..and I guess he didnt ask for extra.

davidv, so I guess its pretty much look if the colors match up?

Anyone else with hopefully some good news?

Nissan touch-up reminds me of colored water. I apply a base coat of white enamel followed by white touch-up paint. Works well for me.

You just have to experiment.
