Default Tints--How long to wait b4 opening windows?

So I got some quality tinting professionally done. Nothing crazy, 35% all around.

I was told to wait 3 days before opening the windows after install to cure properly.

Is this sufficient time? Some of my friends are telling me to wait a week because it's the winter and colder out (my car is currently garaged though).

Thx!

I would wait 3 days in the winter.. 1 day in summer.. Bad thing is, most dont realize this but... Once the door opens it does that adjustment when it slides down on opening the door, and slides down then up on closing the door so that could **** up the tint.. Almost ****ed mine up.. Good thing it was screaming hot and was about done curing..

Thanks for the tip. Yea, the tint was installed at 6 pm on Friday night, garaged at the shop, and I picked it up the next day in the afternoon. I did open the door a few times (obviously), but after that the car sat for another 2 days, before the door was opened again. Hopefully, it didn't mess anything up. It came with a lifetime warranty though, so if I'm not satisfied I can have it redone.

When should any "bubbles" present right after installation go away?

I should be ok to go tomorrow (4.5 days after install) and roll down windows all the way for dyno?

Thx!

did you wait a week to drive (open and close the door) or did you drive it and just not roll the windows down for a week?

If you are small like me, climb out the hatch, lol, thats what I plan on doing when I get tint done, just to be safe.

to be completely honest there shouldnt be any bubbles if the people did it right, little ones should go away in a week or so.

i only had bubbles on the rear window but i took a little over a week for them to come out because it was pretty cold and rainy that week, so it didnt get much sun. The longer u leave it in the sun the faster they will come out. if they dont just have it replaced for free.

There is a grounding screw you can unscrew so it doesn't do the adjustment when you open the door.

3 days is sufficient if out in the sun maybe a little shorter.

i actually asked my friend who did my tint (and tints professionally) about that and he said it is nothing to worry about as long as it is squeegeed properly in the area.

and i think 3 days is good for both winter and summer. people dont realize that in the summer you have heat, but also there is more humidity making it harder for water to evaporate. in the winter, the air is more dry and makes it easier for water to evaporate. just go with the full week if youre that paranoid.

ive gotten tints done in the past and the next day my buddy rolled down my window all the way i was pissed at first but then rolled it back up and everything was fine not even a bubble from it. I still usually wait 3 days though but im def. not paranoid about it.
