Default Hatch Area

I searched and came up short on an exploded view of the hatch area...

I am trying to get to the bose amplifier and I would like more than "remove the panels" for the information that I should go by...

Thanks

It's in the rear left corner of the car under the rear floor mat, under some foam.

the foam that covers the amp is black. It is located just to the left. The foam houses the toe hook and jack. Remove all of that and it is bolted to the floor if I remember correctly.

I haven't been back there in a while since I wired my subs. I do remember the amp on the left,(if standing outside the hatch) which is the drivers side of the car. I also remember removing the foam from the amp. Anyway, that's been going on 5yrs now since I've been back there. Now that you have found it, what were you planning on doing to it?

Splicing into the front speakers and Sub channels, feeding that to a cleansweep.

Feeding the clean sweep to two Blaupunkt PNP 275's, one for fronts, one bridged for a sub.

I will have 1 JL 10 W3 in the stock location in a vertical firing box.

Front speakers will be CDT ES620Z's.

Everything will be deadened... door panels, doors themselves, and the entire stock sub location.

Headunit remains stock.

I have three cerwin-vega 10s and a cap on a boss amp. I didn't do the front or the head unit. But at this point I am starting to contemplate it! The factory unit now skips when it is cold and sound quality has always been inferior. If it wasn't for the 6disc changer, I would have done away with the head unit years ago.

I just do not like the look of aftermarket decks in the Z, but that is a personal opinion, if I do replace it eventually I will go with a 7" fixed touch screen from pioneer, it's under their A/V receivers.

It's 500, and you can make the color very similiar to the stock lighting.

that's a great suggestion. I wanted the touch screen decks also. they have alot of options with them. But I still battle with keeping the stereo or getting rid of it to make it light weight. but I'm in no hurry for anything. But one day, I'll do something about the factory deck. I like it too, that's why I haven't changed it out. It's been over five years now. I thought it would have lasted longer.
