I would never do that to any car that has not already came factory. The lambo door crap is played out however here in Cali you still see that **** on cars from riced out hondas to SUV's............GHEY

I like them primarily for one reason: access to a car while on a lift.

On a symmetrical 2 post they are almost a necessity to get into/out of a car without some kind of contortion of the body, and on an asymmetrical lift they do help greatly as well (case in point, I was working on a member's car the other day, dropping the UTEC so I could pull the wiring harness. Without the lambo doors, I would've damn near had to roll the car back away from the rack to even get down there).

As far as those that have them purely for aesthetics? ...no.

I think for the currently available products, they are too much hassle and not enough returns for the troubles.

Lambo still use them just not on the Gallardo probly to keep the price down a few grand only other production cars that have doors that go up NOW are the Murcielago, Koegnisegg, SLR Mclaren & ENZO just name a few.
Personely i would only put them on somethin sporty (EX 350Z to).....after it has that SUPER CAR look inside and out(Just not on a Sub compact!!!)

the only reason why Lambos use them starting with the Diablo was because their doors were way too long to open the regular way. Gallardo has a smaller door and it makes no sense to add all the machinery for the doors to go upwards.
