Essentially, what it comes down to is function over form. Guys that like to road race their cars need the additional down force around the track. As far as form, it's subjective. Some guys love the race look, almost all professional competition cars run some sort of GT wing; Formula 1, Super GT, Super-Taikyu, etc.

 

No offense taken at all. I know that probably majority of the forum members probably liked my car a whole lot better in its previous form but I don't build my car to impress others on this forum but to impress my sponsors and they're always happy with my execution. I get hated on time and time again but it's all good cause everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that. My car was built with purpose as a marketing car and I personally love it and I'm not even done finishing the build yet. Because of the sponsors that I have is one of the big reasons why I get offered movie, tv, commercial gigs as well as media exposure in print as well as events. People always say that its all about who you know and I think this statement is completely inaccurate. Who cares who you know, its all about who knows you.

Honestly, I like the way Andy's car looks now. It's a look you have to ask yourself, "can i pull this off?" and he did.

I'd seriously go with a long nose, GT wing and (tasteful) vinyl if I had sponsors.

But since my car is a DD with no sponsors to impress (not to mention it never saw a race track). I'd keep it as road car looking as possible.

 

not unless your car can go 200+ mph whats the point of having a wing, it's so rice.

I like wings but a 911 with a "spoiler" isnt the same as a Z with a carbon fiber wing.
