Bummer while most is just surface rust looks like this car has seen winters and salted roads. I would probably see what is causing the staining on your pumpkin real damn quick.

Yeah I've never seen rust like that. I have a 03, and I live in an area where they salt the roads in the winter. I don't drive the Z that much, but Hell, my other car that I drive is 5 years old, gets covered in salt and snow all winter, and I just checked it out, and it still looks new underneath. Like davidv said... Looks like flood damage.

WOW....... i dont even drive my car in the rain let alone in the snow. one nice point about living in Las Vegas is my car still looks new underneath like the day i bought it. Sorry..................

If you drive it in the snow often why wouldn't you have the undercarriage coated for protection? Or maybe do some undercarriage washing?

It would break my heart to see something I worked so hard for end up like that... This is the reason my Z isn't driven in winter. It's only seen snow once last April shortly after I picked up the car it started randomly snowing like crazy. I also had my car shipped from somewhere warmer.
