for a retro it's a complete disgrace and if those are supposedly "bright as hell" then god forbid you stand in front of a pair of TL/ZKWs

You need to see them in person. The car above is mine.

I've got nothing but compliments on them. You guys can enjoy looking like everyone else's car on the forum =)

Thanks. I know with your expert lighting background they may not be the brightest things out (and note that I wasn't the one that said that). As far as output is concerned I'm sure the LS460's or TSX's would be better, but for me this was work that was already done, and I wanted something that was very different for the assembly. From an aesthetic standpoint, the roundness and shape of my kit is accentuated by the round q45 projectors. You need to see it in person as it looks like a work of art.

I wanted a unique look, and I certainly got that. The details of the headlights are hidden in the pics, and when I post my photoshoot I feel they will be appreciated far more. I have the JDM projectors, modified. They have an amazing color output IMHO, and they look rediculously sick coming from a car this low. Cars just get out of my way when I'm behind them.

No matter what anyone says I love them. They make my car look more exotic, and thats what it looks like when I drive by.

To the others--judging by the sheer amounts of PM's I get about how my car is modified, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing as far as modding is concerned. Thanks.

Thanks all!
Ravi

I've told you in another thread that I would buy those if you ever sell (photoshop forum I think?). I still mean that They look great on your car. They'd look better on mine. HA!

Because Volk's(well his Volks) come stock on a Z...

In all honesty, without getting some 5k dollar spinners, what wheel hasn't been on a 350? Hell even those ugly clear wheels were on a 350... HIS WHEELS ARE GOOD LOOKING WHEELS!

Back to the topic at hand, I have seen his headlights in person and at first I was kind of apprehensive on the look, but as time went on they grew on me and now I think they look awesome. In fact if I ever bought a 350Z I would have to steal his headlamps because the stock ones look so foreign to me now. The projectors look like they are supposed to be there. It's such a clean (IMHO) retrofit, you just have to see it in person to appreciate it.

Mr. Wong,

you are right...not many people have Volks on 350z's....

don't say you are trying to be different with your 350z with Volk wheels, Ings kit...don't claim that on a forum just because most on here are ragging on his headlights...

he should just be happy with them...who gives a **** what others say...

Just IMHO...as the owner of a car who doesn't resemble anything usually or commonly seen on this forum I have some sort of standing....

Seriously, I don't understand your argument... Are you saying because he has "Volks" that he's a follower? Because in my eyes, it's they model of wheel that defines a wheel not the manufacturer. Hell they could be made by ADR, and as long as they look like they do, then I say he has good taste and that it's a classy wheel choice.

So tell me, how many people have his wheels and his kit? I'd say at MOST maybe 1% or all 350Zs have one or the other. Now how many people have wheels and/or body kits? Maybe 15%? Now his headlamps, how many people have stock headlamps? I'd guess 95-99% of people do. How many people have ANYTHING different? 1% would be my guess.

The point I'm making here is that he took the initiative to try and do something different, and pulled it off in an effective and classy matter. Everyone does wheels and a kit, and if his choice of wheels and body kit just so happen to be popular doesn't mean that he's doing it because everyone else is doing it. He's doing it because they look good.

And Ravi chime in here, but I think he was one of the first to do the molded rear fascia. Also I remember you doing this Ing's half and Volks very early in the 350z lifespan, before many of the others did it.

But hey, maybe Ravi's just a biter and has no originality and everything he does is copied...

I stand by my statement...Dont claim originality with the played out Volks...nothing against the wheels just dont claim your 350z is so original and basically stands out amongst the usual 350z seen....

Volks=overplayed

I like the looks and drool over the function of the Z's bi-xenons. If these work as well that's great. They look nice and the car is cleeean.

The headlights are dope! A lot of guys in here don't know about retrofitting headlights so they lack the respect. After market HID's and cheap bulbs have nothing on these.
