Default Superblack KH3 color match, PPG? Formula?

I'm getting my front bumper repainted because of all the chips and my painter asked me if I could get him the formula so he can mix the paint.

I called Nissan and they told me they could only give me the color code, KH3. I read that PPG matches really well. Anyone have the formula? How many stages is superblack?

All I know is that I have a SB ZR with the color code KH3 but used DuPont chromabase paint....PPG does not compare!

Any way you could get the DuPont mixing formula?

If your painter can not match superblack with just the paint code, you need to go to a different painter. I've had SB parts painted at multiple shops, and all I ever gave them was the KH3 code. Superblack is probably the easiest Z color to match.

If your painter is PPG-certified, he will get the formula from PPG. I have never had a painter ask me for it.

I'm sponsored by BASF and and my body shop uses PPG, all they needed was the paint code. They didn't need me to explain to them how to use BASF paint to match KH3.

I am looking for a different painter and one told me that even if the color matched the gloss would not match perfectly and there is nothing that can be done about that. Any truth in this?
