Regarding the tinting, I keep tossing the idea around of whether or not to do it.

I have 35% all the way around, including windshield.

2 years then got a ticket for the windshield. Had it taken off, then found a cop to write off the ticket.. then replaced the tint. (All with-in an hour lol)

Can you read a license plate as it passes you at 80mph?
actually my guess is they require it so the officers have a place to shoot their laser gun at. They have to have a flat surface.

Default Tint on lights

I have seen ads for tint (film) on the lights. Has anyone out there done this? How does it look?

Thanks,
dmaygs

It's called "smoked" tail lights or head lights. I've heard that the film is very cheap and comes off very easily. If you want quality smoked tail or head lights there are tint sprays out there that I've heard (have never used) work amazing. Here's a link from *********.com with a tutorial on how to smoke your tail lights using spray if you're interested: http://www.*********.com/zwiki/Tutor...ing_Taillights

Hmmmm, just tried the link and it doesn't work for some reason. Well, just go into google and type the following: smoked tail lights, 350z
then look for the 350z tech website link and it has a great tutorial on how to do it.

A question for anyone who can help me. I was pulled over for tint it read at 16% in NC and NO ONE can tell me exactly what I need to do. The police said go to the DMV and get it checked out there which I did and they had no clue. can anyone give me advice what to do ad correct me if I am wrong but there are no points for tint citations are there?

SHould I just pay the fine and keep the tint?

Or

Should I just remove the tint and get it inspected but where and how do I take care of this?

So for CA it says 70%, does that mean you must allow in 70% of light

Here in cali... you take the off and have the cops check it and write you off. Although you'll have to pay a small fine for processing which is like 10-20$ I believe...

Not sure if it's the same... I doubt DMV can help you. I would just pay the fine and get on with your life... Depending how much it is though =]
