Positive Thoughts: Everything is authentic which is a HUGE plus. I can tell by your car that you are someone that wants nothing but the best for your Z.

Constructive Thoughts: First, I absolutely hate it when people refer it as the "NISMO V.3". Its's not a V.3, there is no such thing as a V.3 NISMO aero kit. Secondly, the NISMO Edition Z rear bumper does not flow with your car at all, not from any angle. The rear bumper is way too aggressive with the rest of the body kit, you should have just left the original NISMO rear add on's and painted the lower half of the bumper black like I did with my demo Z or the original NISMO RS car. The gold/white/grey is an eye sore, if you're going to execute a 2 tone paint scheme on aero with a darker contrasting color, your wheels should be a darker contrast as well. A gunmetal or black wheel would flow much nicely. On the front bumper, if you're going to emulate the look of the actual NISMO vehicles, you should've painted the grill area as well too to keep consistency.

Overall, the car is really nice though. I really hope you don't take my criticism personally or anything. Don't take it to heart. I usually never give my opinion about Z's on this forum unless its one that I really like, other than that, I usually keep my opinions to myself. The only reason why I decided to tell you my thoughts is because you seem like you know what you're doing and with the right direction, will be even better. But of course looks are all subjective and is a matter of taste. At the end of the day, this is your car and you have to look at it everyday and if it looks good to you and makes you happy, keep it the way it is. Other than that, I think you have huge potential with your car to get it featured with a publication or an online e-zine and these are the little details that I think should be changed. Just my two cents though.

IMO the gold wheels don't flow with the two tone look of the car and those specific wheels are my fav on ppw, black LE's would look sick imo

edit.. Andy beat me to it

Hey Andy, I thank you for your honest opinion, and I also congratulate you on your Modified layout with that badass Z of yours !! My Supra was featured in Modified also back in the FEBRUARY 05 issue, blk/blk Greddy Supra with the Tag that read YB2FAST !! The car sits in my garage/museum (lol) right now, haven't driven it in over a year !! The last time I drove it on the I95 I think I hit close to 190 mph with the targa off (apexi rev-speed meter) after coming from a car show that it won !! Anyway, the only view that I liked on the Nismo Z was the very aggressive JGTC GT500 style rear bumper, that just about every car in that racing series had..I think the Nismo edition front bumper and side skirts are definately not aggressive enough for the rear, I think the V2 with the canards has a cleaner and more aggressive look to compliment the GT500 rear !! Do you know the Nismo edition sideskirts are just an add on cap over the stockers ? Very lame if you ask me..The only piece on that car that deserves the NISMO heritage of racing is the rear bumper !! The Gold LE-37's where bought when the car was all white and before america even saw pics of the Nismo edition, but I agree, blk gloss or gunmetal, would be more cordinated to some people..but overall I am looking for A JDM LOOK, not AMERICAN, so in JDM anything goes !! The more shocking the better..look at all the Top Secret cars, gold is their color of choice on anything ! The grey trim on my car is the original color on all Nismo edition Z's (code K11), so that was me keeping it authentic PPW..If someone wants to photoshop the side view with some dark wheels, be my guest, BUT I BET THE CAR WILL START TO LOSE THE JDM LOOK !! (LOL)..but anyway, that's my view on it, soon as the car gets boosted with a Greddy TT/V-PRO combo, I will call my contact at Modified to set up a photo shoot..The goal is 500 RWHP on the stock HR motor..NO INTERNAL MODS, DAILY DRIVER !! Thanks again z car fans for all your honesty on this bastard NISMO setup !! ..

It makes sense to get dark rims to flow better with the two-tone scheme, but there was another white NISMO with gold volks which looked awesome.

It would be cool if you voiced your opinion more often. But I guess you're not really in a position to do so.

^That does look better.

Have you seen this car though. NISMO Z sides would go well with the rear.

I think what he has done with his car is awsome. Everyone told me I was making a mistake to do what I did to my PPW when I had it, but when the car was finished....... the tone changed.

I wonder what people are going to say when I start building my 08. Hugh, if you ever want to sell the rims, I got first dibbs!

Good luck. The Editor in Chief at Modified is a friend of mine and he usually asks me what cars he should feature, lol. I think your perspective as well as everyone else's on what JDM styling is supposed to be is all different. And not all the Top Secret cars are gold, FYI. They have plenty of tuned cars that are white as well.

Yea, being a forum sponsor, I have to be very careful about what I say about forum members as well as other sponsors. Plus, not all members have a thick skin and can handle constructive criticism, but hey, who am I to say what is cool and what is not? Some members have reached out and have PM'ed me to express their opinion about the value of my views. The few members that have reached out to me ended up getting their car featured or is on their way to get featured or have/has gotten more exposure from my consultations. It just so happens that the few guys that did reach out to me also is partially sponsored by me as well, lol. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Hey Miguelito, you are right on point here buddy!! (lol) Looking forward to the build up of your 08. I did buy the last set of Gold LE-37's sold in the states, (polished lip) so that makes those wheels super exclusive !! So they are gonna stay with the Z till they die !!
