Default 2008 roadster grille

Hey guys,

I just picked up a 2008 roadster and I've got a bit of a problem. Apparently the 2008 model z's all come with a pre installed front license plate brackets. I went to the parts dept to try to find the center piece (which looks like it should just snap into place) but was unsuccessful even the service consultant couldn't figure it out. I like the oem style grille and god knows I don’t want a chrome/billet grille.

Is there an after market insert? Any suggestions would be appreciated I hate the way the license plate looks in the front.

Why does everyone hate on the billet grille? Lund makes a really nice one.

Are you sure they come pre-installed? Or did the dealer take the liberty of installing them as they came through the door? (that sucks, I'm glad they didn't pre install on my car, no holes in my bumper, thank you)

I don't know of a after market insert, sorry, lol.

I don't hate the billet grille - it's just not for me.

I'm not sure if it was actually pre-installed but every other z on the lot had the same one. No holes they attached it behiend the bumper - thru the big hole in the grille. Will post pics tonight.
