overlays FTL
The 1st 2 were ebay. CRAP. The bats are more durable and went on smooth for the most part. The corners would not stick. The overlay even ripped at the top while applying minimal pressure. I'm glad all of you guys were there when I applied mine so you know it's not an error in the product. If you don't have volks or good luck with something, 1/2 of this forum will flame you. It's ridiculous. I hope someone calls you an idiot when you finally receive a bad batch of something.
Steve, I wish you were here in San Diego, or Georgia, I have a guy that does my installs there. We've done tons of installs with no issues at all as well as others here on the forum as you can see. I can do another piece at discount to you. I'm always good about giving a generous discount for those that need extra pieces. Dont give up yet! Have you tried any local installers in your area?

See? Atleast this guy makes durable products and backs them. The other 2 companies= FAIL. They wouldn't respond. He tried contacting me after I left him a message. Good business imo!

. I appreciate the good words, many of my customers will vouch for my customer service. When a customer has a concern, I need to talk to them personally, not deal through emails.Bat™

Ive done my sidemarker and roof overlay myself without any huge issues...

Bat it's always great to see awesome customer service like that. You truly are a notch above! Great work
Overlay applied the correct way + water with a drop of handsoap + heat gun = tinted tails.
Although I will say that using a hair dryer worked better than a heat gun.
The 06 tails work with the vinyl fine.
Bluebat's overlays FTW

I just bought the bats overlays and I only have 1 left. Trying to resolve that. I followed the instructions. The vinyl just will not stick on my lens.
I used a 3m wax remover prior to starting.
I heated the vinyl and dipped it in a bucket of soapy water. I positioned it on my light. I then started wiping the overlay to get water off and out. Then the lower corner wasn't sticking. I tried using a squeegee after trying and trying to get it smoothed down. These things just won't wrap the tail light curve.
In his defense, Bat's overlays do seem more durable but I'm wondering if maybe these overlays aren't going to fit the 06+ lights? I didn't know they were shaped differently but maybe they are?

can't take the pics since I have not received the vinyl, damnit!
I know you are talking to him but I just want to mess with ya!
I need to find out how to get the big loose wrinkles out of the overlay for the brake lights. I messed up my last set trying to get the wrinkles out, whats the best way, use a blow drier and strech the overlay whall it is going on or what??

I painted mine and then wet sanded and buffed themm out and they're perfect. You just have to be careful when you're spraying depending on how dark you want em

I didnt read all the posts. But done dip the entire peice in the water. A spray of water and soap to keep it from sticking the first try dipping the whole thing is your problem.
