Default [HELP PLEASE] Windows Stuck

My windows (Drive and Passanger) will not go up or down. They are in the up position at the moment, but when I get in the car the window will lower but it will not raise back up. Every once in a while I am able to raise the windows after I get in the car to make up the gap in the window for the entry and exit. What should I do? This is getting really annoying!

In the mean while, while you get it fixed try holding the button down while you close the door. Thatll bring it down. and vice versa, hold the buttom up while slamming the door, that should bring it up

Thanks guys, but is the problem with the motor or the mechanism to lift the window?

So Let me ask this question...Is the motor the only thing that really makes the window move? Is there an actuator or something of that sort involved?

Thanks.

If under warranty I would take it to the dealer, if not be prepared for a good amount of work,

take off the door panels, and you will notice a bunch of sticky black tabs, behind one of them is the motor, with the reset switch visible, There is a wiki somewhere describing how to reset the motor, i am unsure of the details. If this does not work then you have to take off the metal piece inside the door where the motor is, be careful not to drop the glass. All that is in there is a motor, you would have to test to make sure it is working somehow. If it is not working you would have to buy a new one, they are rather expensive.

good luck

mine did the same thing and it ended up being the motors but mine was under warranty so they replaced them for free but for a temporary fix if you hit the door panel hard enough and hold the button they will roll up or down lol i had to do it a couple times
