Not entirely true, all depends on were you live. I have my titan and my Z 5% all around and I have had them tinted like that ever since 2006 and never had a problem(knocks on wood). But yes, it is kind of hard to see at night but...I got used to it

Sure 5% is okay until you back into or hit somebody or thing.

5% isn't bad unless you're reversing... Wait til you accidentally back into something because you could see. I stick with 15-20% not too dark, looks good, and can see through it very well.

yeah....sucks a D

i had tint that tested out to 12% on my prelude i just sold, and at night with no streetlights i could back up fine and my reverse lights were practically useless (tinted over them, blacked out). all i did was when i wanted to gauge how far i was from an object, just tap the brakes and they lit up what was behind me perfectly (and they were tinted over and blacked out). so it cant be too hard with 5...

I'll stick with 35% on the fronts and 20% on the rear windows.

It sucks having to roll your windows down, and looking outside to reverse at night though., Plus some states check for tint legal % when you are doing inspection, I don't feel like being hassled.
i disagree i have 5% over 20% on the rear window and i see just fine backing up

Now get new wheels, a front bumper along with side skirts and rear, and get rid of those eyelids.

Then you'll have a nice car.
