OK fellas. I just took the car to the body shop this afternoon. I should have it back by thursday or friday. Can't wait for it.

I'll be going by the body shop everyday and taking pics of the progress.

 

Work in progress. The bumper and wing should be painted by this afternoon. There's still a little bit of work to do on the body of the car.

 

They finished painting around 5 pm. I should have the car back by tomorrow afternoon.

You should have shaved the rear wiper since you had the hatch redone.

 

As much as it rains here in Miami, the rear wipers are very useful. Especially, with the huge wing blocking my view.

 

JES- Are you doing the vents in the hood too? I'll have to come down to check one of your meets when its done.

Well it took a little longer to finish because we had trouble getting the wing seated properly. We ended up getting it very close to perfect fitment. Here's the progress. I'll be picking it up tomorrow to have it up and running for the weekend.




I didn't do the venting of the hood because the my body shop guy said it would be easier to just buy a hood and paint it. If I see otherwise maybe I'll cut them out eventually. For now I'm very happy with the look.

Ok a couple of quick pics. I haven't had time to clean the car well. I'm stuck in Army Reserve Training this weekend. I'll do a proper photoshoot soon. These were from my iPhone.

Are you really finished? Body looks good, but...

Some decent brakes would complete it. Those rotors look incredibly tiny inside those wheels, and teh ricer painted base calipers aren't helping you either.

And in my opinion...
Taillights and reverse/blinker lights should be smoked.

 

Looks good man but dark wheels would suit the race look better IMO.
