I just a bought a pair of the tail overlays. Is this something that anyone can install themselves? Are they fairly error free?
Thanks
Thanks
I wouldn't exactly say they are error free. I install car graphics and I have done three cars now with Bat's overlays and it takes time and patience and some know how to do it.

I guess a shop probably wouldn't charge much to just put them on if it comes to that. I am pretty picky and want to make sure it gets done right.

It's pretty easy install. You'll need patience to complete this.
The front marker and rear turn signals are easy to install...it's the tail light that's a PITA.
Peel the overlay and soak it in a bucket of water/soap.....
position it then squeegee (using a cc w/ paper towel over it) the water out. It may not stick at first but once it start to dry....it'll start to stick.
I didn't use a heat gun. Hope this helps

I only have the tail over lays. Doesn't sound too horribly bad. I guess with another set of hands maybe it won't be that bad. Sounds like the thing is to be patient.
Clean the taillights with dish soap water and rinse them until they're clean and have no more soap residue.
Take a relatively large bucket of warm, slightly soapy water (mild soap). Hotter water, if you can work with it, works better.
Peel off tint backing, remember which side has the adhesive coating, and let it sit in the water for about 30 seconds.
Apply tint film to taillight, working it with a towel covered credit card or something similar starting from the bottom of the light.
You'll want a blowdryer to dry and heat up the film so it stretches over the top and around corners.

Nice pics those look really good, are those the blue bat overlays or a tint percentage?. I am getting excited to get them on. Does anyone else have any pics they want to share?
