ARC aluminum under panel
what to you guys know about this ARC part???

want to buy it, cause after i removed my grill the hole front bumper feels a little bit unstatble.maybe it could be fixed with a solid under panel.
the part also looks very "low"...do you think itīll reduce ride hight(clearence)?
any infos, suggestions????

Not worth it IMO. The stock underpanel gets pretty damaged as it is. I can't see myself spending that kind of money on a panel that's destined to get damaged...

If you have unlimited funds, go for it!
I have passed on this at $300 twice. I have seen it installed after a
few thousand miles, and boy can it get some nasty bends at the edges.
I would say pass if you are ever on less than perfect roadways.

I've had one on my car for about 2 years. Countless off road excursions at the track, ran over many a rock with it at Z Dayz, and it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Expensive? Absolutely. But the up-side is that once its installed, and you dont have to wrestle with the stock POS plastic one anymore, it's money well spent

I hear ya but lots of expensive parts get not-so-pretty in no time
brakes, lsd's, cams, pistons, exhaust
Once it's under the car, I could care less what it looks like long term, until it's time to resell it

I'm not familar with the enlarged oil pans, but was this underpanel created to clear aftermarket oil pans? I know the stock panel is not intended to be a skid panel, but more of an aero dynamic piece...
they claim it offers better engine cooling by virtue of the vents. I have no idea if its true or not though, I've never measured the temps there. But, it does clear aftermarket ones easily (I have the ARC one on my car). I got mine for the simple reason that I broke my stock one from taking it off, putting it on repeatedly

XM 1, if your diffusers trashed get a new one... If the holes and rivets are loosing their grip, just get some aggressive fat screws and drill new mounting holes. This is what I've done after repetitive jack-stand oil changes. It’s been working great for over a year now, pretty simple solution.
I also bought two (outside) aluminum air-duct vents from ACE for around $8 and some rivets. You may ask why as you laugh... well I figured why not vent a little motor heat via the diffuser. So I cut two rectangular holes in the angled portion of the diffuser (just behind the radiator fans) and mounted the vents. The vents fit almost perfectly side by side in this area, turned out pretty good IMO. My theory is similar to ARCs, it basically pulls hot air out as the draft below the car creates a vacuum. Its funny, but I can feel the heat pouring out of the vent slots when my cars sitting still and the fans kick on…
