Default "M" Chassis brace removal

I hit something in the road and damaged my underbody brace mounting holes to the point where I cannot even thread in the bolts. Can I just remove this thing?

I heard that the G35 doesn't even have this brace.
If I bought the GTSPEC Ladder brace can I replace the stock brace? I know they aren't exactly in the same spot though.

nope, that brace is pretty important if you care at all for structural rigidity. its there for a reason, please leave it there

replace it...It is 118 bucks from courtesy nissan in Texas! I bent mine too and it was easy to replace...Like someone else said...it is there for a reason!

G35's have them too...

I would just replace the brace but that is not the problem - the actual holes in the body are twisted / bent. Even with a new brace the bolts will not thread in! That is why this is such an issue. Expensive welding and cutting is involved to fix this.

Does anyone know if I can get the GTSpec Ladder brace and use it instead?
The general consensus seems to be do not remove the M brace, but with the GTspec installed would it be OK?

if the holes are bent like you said, nothing is going to fit there and you got worse problems than just the M brace being bad. you need to go to a shop that specializes in frame repairs
