My baby is almost five years old now. It's a black, and I've taken excellent care of her, so she looks great. However, there are rock chips/scrapes on the front bumper, and I'm looking to have it repainted.

Any advice on whether to clear bra or to use special paint? I saw a guy with a modded Maxima who said he used some special coarser paint for his lip. He claimed it doesn't chip as easily.

I know a lot of people get 3M clear bras put on, but I heard those eventually get a slight hint of yellow after several years. Can you peel those off?

I plan to keep my Z forever, so anyone who out there with advice on long-term upkeep, please let me know.

Did not know they turn yellow after a few years. Could you really see it on Black? I would like to know more on this also.

 

vinyl clear bras peel off you just need a heat gun and take some time to peel it off

 

Damn I must be tired as hell. I could have sworn it said a 5 year old wants to paint your car and the first sentance was your baby who I though was a 5 year old kid was black. I was like ok a 5 year old black kid wants to paint your car. Huh....

I have used this product for the past 3yrs ... on all my cars work excellent goes on like gravel guard and smooths out clear and if need be can repaint over top later if necessary
