Default Leather Trim Ltd. seats black with blue Ultrasuede

David posted a group buy on these seat covers from Leather Trim Ltd.... so I jumped at the chance.

I had Josh at LTL put in Vivid Blue Ultrasuede inserts and blue stitching. The blue matches perfectly with the Daytona Blue Z and the blue stitching add a very nice touch to the seats.

I had to be in Fort Worth this weekend, so I had LTL do the install. I wathced them do it. Looked easy enough, but you really need the proper tools and some patience.

LTL has done many leather 350Z interiors for local Nissan delaer, so they really know what they are doing with this kit.

I posted two pics on my webpage. I'll post a few more when the car is clean... www.peterhaas.net

Enjoy.

i wanted to get the same thing done to mine...but in red+black...only thing holdin me back is the "puffy" looking leather, i really want it to look tight, almost like the stock touring seats....

the leather is not puffy at all... fits as good as the OEM fabric.

In my picture you see in the corners that don't sit flat... those will be flat after a few days of Texas heat. I took those pictures about 10 minutes after the covers were pulled onto the seat, so the leather did not have a chance to heat up and form to the seat.... plus, I was in a hurry and could not wait for them to heat it with a heat gun.

While I was watching my seats being completed, Josh was working on rear seats from a BMW 8 series. The leather was not flat when he put the cover on, but 15 minutes with a heat gun and the leather looked like it was painted on.

You could always do the same wtih a hair dryer if you don't want to wait.

I paid $600 for the covers with the Ultrasuede inserts (w/o would be less). Install at Leather Trim cost $125.

This link should take you to the Vendor Classifieds for the group buy David is running:

Question EASY installation??

Is it easy to install these leather seat covers (OEM / after-market)? A DIY project? Thanks!

I watched while the covers were installed and thought I would have no problem doing it myself. The key is to make sure you have the hog-ring pliers and a lot of hog rings.

Of course, these guys made it look easy... but they do it all day long.

So, as long as you are good with tools, I'd say it would be a good DIY afternoon job.

I have a few pictures of the seats out of the car and disassembled. I'll post a few tonight when I am home from work. Not exactly the how-to, but it gives you an idea.
