Wink Power Seats vs manual

I have a Blk/Charcoal Touring on order comes w/ 4 way power seats while the other models have 8 way manual seats. It doesn't make any sense to me that the power seats will be less adjustable as would the power ones. Any ideas as to what the "8" ways are on the manual seats & what the "4" ways are on the power ones. The dealer is in la,la land ... they have NO IDEA. Help

Personally my concern with manual versus powered seats would be the additional weight of the motors with the powered seats.

Well, the powered seats are a nice added luxury, but it's a luxury I don't need on my sports car.

I will be the ONLY PERSON driving it 99.5% of the time, so no adjusting will be necessary.

I agree poweer vs manual, but since I don't have a choice, I just wanted to know how they adjusted. Also, thanks for the correction .. they are 6 way manual not 8 as I previously thought.

Do the power seat motors really weigh so much that it would hinder performance? I highly doubt it. If you are the only one driving the car, then power seats aren't a "make it or break it deal".

Yet, with multiple user......can't beat'em

Well, if it's just that, not really.

But if it's that, plus other "little" luxury comforts... you know? It could get significantly heavy pretty quickly.

That's great and all, but did you have to bump a thread from 2002 to inform us of this revelation?

Damn.. I bumped it too, didn't I.

You actually contemplated making a new thread about thinking that every Z should come with powered seats?

Touché, I guess.

Not if your post has nothing to do with the thread.

The OP back in 2002 was asking how many adjustments the stock power seats have, he just titled the thread incorrectly.

This should not have been a power vs manual thread, some people just like to skip over the first post and reply to the title

hey thanks for the concern!

I actually got a fulltime job after waiting so long. Sucks being a 9-5 drone but im young so its part of the process. I still do the valet 1-2 nights a week. Also going to grad school.

Appreciate the concern though! Best of luck to ya.

We're all gonna make it
