Default Custom Rad Support

i bought a '03 6sp with some slight front end damage, already have all the parts to get it running bought a new hood, headlights, fenders, body kit, ordered coils, and an aluminum radiator, have other parts on the way. gonna build a drift car

the car needs a new radiator suppport, so i was thinking of making a custom one basically to hold the radiator in place i don't necessarily need a stock hood latch, i can just run hood pins.

any pics of custom rad supports on z33s??

thanks

The only aftermarket radiator support is by Midori - carbon fiber, around $3k + shipping costs. I've never seen it used on anything but some track cars in Japan. Other than that, I think you're going to be on your own in terms of fabbing something up. Your best bet is probably just buy one new from the dealer, and weld it in place

Isn't the radiator support a plastic bolt in piece?

sorry I should edit out the weld in part...I keep forgetting its notwelded on the Z

Larry - I guess it depends on your definition of rad support - to me, it's that whole front "frame", basically a square

here is the Midori piece

well i was thinking of just making brackets to hold the radiator in place, then fabbing up something to hold the front bumper up, don't really need a hood latch

at the same time it would be nice to just order the plastic support from nissan, anyone know where i could find one for the best price?
