Default Just Installed Stillen Type 1 Wing on Redline Track

Hello, I just put a stillen type 1 rear wing on my redline track. to view pictures go to http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=Nissan%20350Z , and scroll to the very bottom of the page for the newest pics. this wing was put on without using any screws (3M tape). The look is remarkably different from the side. I cant believe it wasnt like this from the factory. You have too see it in person.

Hey, exactly what I'm looking for. Do you have more shots of it from the back, a little closer? I want to see something.

I just had the same wing installed two days ago. I love it. Makes the Z look so much more aggressive. You wouldn't believe the compliments i've gotten on it...people keep mistaking my car for a porsche now though lol.

just wish it was made by someone other than stillen. oh well.

I just want you guys to know that I have had the Stillen wing on my z for about 3 months now and its sucks...It looks great but wait until the sun beats on it for a few weeks the center of it dents due to the heat and the lack of support underneath. Also that 3m tape does not hold!!! a little water will start to get underneath on the deck and loosen up the tape. trust me. I contacted Stillen about this problem but they told me that when the body shop prepped the wing it must have damaged the plastic The design of the stillen wing is of poor quality and their customer service sucks..I am done with their products..

guess it definitely won't hold up in Texas sun!

I like the 1/4 view, but the straight back view, it's kind of big. Nevertheless, not bad!

Wow... this is new news. Glad you have brought this up as myself and another locally are considering the purchase of this wing. Shocked to hear the wing is "bubbling", per I have several friends with Stillen bodykits on their Z32s... and these kits are holding together very well.

While I have never experienced anything direct with Stillen, I can't comment. So I was willing to give them a chance, on the premise the wing would be of high quality. After hearing this, this leaves me concerned.

Saw one of these at the CT meet on a SB and it looked great. But it was buckleing in the sun. He ended up parking in the shade so it would bounce back into shape. Can't say it happens to all of them, since I don't own one. But FYI from my own experiences. Good luck redzter....

Oh, and Redline's RULE!

That looks terrible...I really don't want that to happen to mine.

I just spoke to Josh Greenfield at Stillen about this. Acording to them only one person has called them to register a complaint about this problem. If this is true, I can see why they would assume it was a preparation defect. Josh mentioned that if they saw this happen to 4 or 5 Z's they would more thoroughly investigate the cause. My Z hasn't been out in the sun much yet, and I added reinforcements under the wing on installation so this wouldn't happen...so I have yet to find out if it will happen to mine too.

Josh pointed out that the Z Steve Millen drives has the same wing, and hasn't had a problem. I mentioned that I had seen pictures of this on two Z's so far with the identical problem (one SB and daking's) and that I would email them the pics. I'll send the pic above and one of the SB from the CT meet to josh. If anyone else has this problem, please send pics to him as well. Here is his email: jgreenfield@stillen.com . If this happens to all of them, I don't see how Stillen could still refuse action, so we have to do our part to give visibility to the issue, assuming of course that it is a systemic issue, and not isolated to only a few Z's.

Please do your part if you have this problem; report the problem to Stillen, send them pics, etc. Thank for posting the pics Daking. BTW The link you posted to the thread you started on this issue isn't working for me?
