Default Rear diffusers for 350z

I'm getting a rather flashy looking (w/ brunt tips) aftermarket exhaust for my Z, but I live in SoCal, and I want to minimize the visual attention the exhaust may have with cops (cops here are strict about aftermarket exhaust), so what rear diffusers are out there so i can put it on my lower bumper and minimize attention on my exhaust...

I've heard of the Master grade rear diffuser; that's an option...I'm wondering what else is out there...

You want to minimize visual attention so you decide to throw a diffuser on there? Its going to attracts attention, a big flashy carbon fiber thing having off the back of your car...

^^^I agree! If that is your only concern, I think it will bring more attention with a diffuser than without. Personally, I like either look. Cops/Laws in Phoenix/AZ are much easier to live with than CA. You guys have the great weather and all that, this is what you have to deal with in return.

Is the mounting area for those skirts flat or do they attach to a curved surface of the stock skirts ?

They are universal, so probably flat is my guess.

That's what I think too. Exterior/Visual mods is what "allows" cops to profile you as a "street racer" or whatever it is that goes through their heads.

I did a little experiment years back when I lived in a small town in Washington state, I drove my modified Honda CRX at the time that was widebodied, all that crap, and then I drove a 2000 Accord. I drove through the same areas. I drove the CRX at the speed limit, and I generally drove the Accord 5-15+MPH over the speed limit (safely of course, we're talking a SMALL town with large winding country roads here). I have yet to be pulled over in that Accord, but was pulled over by 15+ cops in WA and also directly lied to by officers. I drove the Accord as a daily driver, and if I were to compare the ratio of actual driving it would likely be 30:1 or so as the CRX was ALWAYS in the bodyshop. If that isn't profiling, I don't know what is.

Point to be made, in your case, yes, I think you'd get more negative attention from the law WITH the exhaust/diffuser rather than the exhaust alone.

EDIT: Thus, I now have a slightly more subtle taste. You could say the cops swayed my style.

Yes they are flat, but very secure. I used double sided tape where it contacts the bottom of the side skirt and longer OEM crews to actually screw it through the diffuser, through the OEM side skirt, and to the car to the OEM holes provided. Took me only about thirty minutes to install, and most of time was lining everything up to tap the holes on the diffusers and not make a mistake.

Yah AFKGuy...I'm getting an Amuse too...damnn pretty, but damn attention getting, particularly with that unique sound and looks (to be honest, I'm not into the brunt titanium look...not my kinda deal; but I loooooove the sound)....

You never know...i hear about cops going after NISMO Exhausts around here...

And to everyone else...I agree that getting a diffuser will probably call more unwanted attention to my otherwise stock looking Z, but at least a rear diffuser isn't illegal...

I have to say, that MG Diffuser is beginning to grow on me...particularly with that DIY that Chebosto made...might make the plunge just for the sake of it...Anyone know if the MG diffuser will work with an Amuse exhaust?

Voltex...minus the bumper diffusers of coarse, that would only draw more attention...
