Question Dealership employees...

What's the chance of getting an '06+ LED tail light warrantied. I was washing my car today and noticed that the light is chipped down in the lower corner closest to the license plate.

Not sure how it would've gotten chipped as there is no visible damage to the paint/body anywhere around that area. The lights are only 1 month old.

I'm taking it to the dealership tomorrow...just curious as to how good my chances are

Usually things that are chipped are not covered because it wasn't a defect in the manufacturing/labor.

Try though

It's a quality issue IMO There's not many possible explanations as to how it could chip. If it were a headlight I could understand something flying into it and wouldn't expect it to be covered...but a tail light and with no visible damage to anything else on the body of the car?

They will say your CAI has something to do with it.

*Best bet, see what they can do, fight it!

Well, of course they didn't do anything about it. That's annoying that Nissan doesn't stand behind their products. This is the second pair of OEM LEDs that I've had problems with. The first pair got moisture in them and Nissan wouldn't do anything about it and now this set gets a chip in it

Sorry that they did not take care of you. I'd like to see, for once,
that a Nissan dealership takes care of their customers. I'd love to
see them go above and beyond to take care of issues like these.
