is it possible to cut this piece shorter so it actually fits on say a rear bumper with an ings lx lip on it?
cause obviously its length is strictly designed for a rear bumper with a nismo rear lip
just wondering if anyone has done this modification?

You can modify any piece. Just check with the body shop doing the install and make sure they know what you want done.
