is the speedometer swapable with other cars?
hello im just curious, besides the odometer needing to be similar miles, can the speedometer be swapped between similiar z's? i assume yes but since theyre digital i want to make sure that they arent coded or something, which even sounds silly as i write it but i want to be 110%... thanks!

You just need to make sure the cars are similar - for example a cluster from an '05 6MT Z with Navi would be swappable with only a cluster from an '05 6MT Z with Navi. You can't go back and forth between navi and non navi and you can't go back and forth between 5AT and 6MT. Going from year to year may require hard wiring.

Here is a list of the different part numbers for the '04 cluster:
https://www.1stnissanparts.com/oe_parts_cat.html
I'm assuming the first one that says "w/o base" is without navi and the next two are "w/base" meaning with navi. It also says 18" wheels have different clusters - I'm not sure if that is the difference between TCS and VDC. You may be able to call the dealership for clearification on that. I know that the G35 definately has different part numbers for navi clusters - http://www.infinitiparts1.com/oem_parts.html and I would assume the 350Z is the same.
