Hello guys - a quick question about the Asuka type1 hood:
Is there some sort of "inner rain protectors" (like the ones used at J's-Mugen for the S000's hood) under these 2 big holes?
What do you do with rain - or when washing the car?

Nope. it does not come with that undertray that collects water, but i rain tested my asuka type 2 hood overnight..it was raining like cats and dogs. It turned out ok, other than getting waterspots on the side of the engine intake tube and strut bar. You wanna make sure that you dont have a short ram intake with the type 1. Its safer to have a cold air cause the filter will be by the passenger front tire so its protected from the incoming water through the vents.
mwahahahahhahahahahaha... i want one... the roof i mean... i agree though... the rest of your car doesn't really suppotr that sort of look with the roof... asuka really intended it for widebody z's ... just googled it... anyway... sick car... and thanks for finding me my new roof... (and it's cheaper than MG)
Yup yup, i finally installed the double hump roof. It looks pretty cool and you dont need a wide body or the asuka body kits to make it work. Its just making sure that youre parts connect right, so the outcome would be aight! Ill post some pics as soon as i take it.

Thanks mate, question #1: "You wanna make sure that you don't have a short ram intake with the type 1" I've got the Greddy Turbo-Kit so I have 2 ram intakes (on both sides of the car). Is that a problem? Do you think that technically the Type2 hood is better for me? question #2: Do you think it's better to ad a "Carbon Dual Air Intake Duct 03-08 JDM" (it's generally very hot here in Greece) - Do you think that I'll have problems with the rain (with the air intakes beeing behing the ducts)?
Cheers!
people are suggesting using epoxy but if someone attempts to rip it off it will a) destroy the cf piece b) destroy the paint off your roof..
its either 1) let the thieves have it or 2) have them totally destroy your roof attempting to get it off
Don't need epoxy, if it is installed the way Asuka recommends (double sided tape, and a few screws) the piece will not be going anywhere.
I know from experience, as I just removed it a few days ago.

Screws, and where do they go, under the A-pillars I assume?
I think the double hump hood looks great if you do it right. I personally think that the photo shown here is over the top. This car, however... very nice with the double hump. I have a silver car as well, like the one in this post, but I think I'd paint the roof if I got the double hump.
