Anyone know how to install Sparco seats by using side mounts??? I threw up a longer thread regarding this in DIY, but havent heard back so maybe I put it up in the wrong area. If anyone has any experience with this please let me know. Thanks

you have to get the correct pitch / thread bolts that are thread-riveted to the bucket seat. then. its really not that bad- just. attach both side mounts to the seat and then attach the bottom of the side mounts, to either sliders or the car-specific mounting rig.

http://www.sparco-usa.com/resourceFiles/20.pdf

where it says "to seat" is the bottom of the side mount rails.

not sparco, but u get the idea., this isa custom setup for side mounts, shortened to fit ona pair of sliders, that are mounted directly on the floor (to reduce the driver seat height)

A few questions. When you say "get the correct pitch", what does that mean? Not sure what a "pitch is. So I will need to buy a new seat base and pair of sliders or can I use the stock ones?

Pitch is reffering to the thread pitch. There are things like 1.25 and 1.5 etc I believe it's the amount of threads per mm. Then you need correct bolt side like M8 M10 M12 etc.

If you have the wrong thread pitch you will strip you sparco seats, just call the manufacture its pretty simple

Ya, Spacro's website has a kit that includes all bolts and screws and stuff required to install the seats correctly.

STock ones are attached to the stock seats and are not removable.

Sparco sells brackets that are car specific, but kinda sit the seat a little higher than most people like.

you can get other branded seat brackets which are pretty much universal when it comes to side mounts.

if you want lower seat rails, check out the Nagisa Low-seat rails,
