badge adhesive removal
some jackass stole all of the badges on my z last night, leaving only torn adhesive behind... anyone know if there is an easy way to remove the adhesive so that i can replace it with new badges? i tried pulling some of the adhesive off with my fingers... not only is this tedious and somewhat painfull, i actually pulled some paint off... luckily it happened in an area that is behind one of the side badges and shouldn't be an issue...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

recently i changed my "350z" emblem. i had a post earlier about it because i was so amazed at how easy it was.
i took off the big chunks with my fingernail. but then, i got some gs-27 scratch remover liquid... (i guess meguires scratch remover may work too, i dont know.... gs-27 is what i use for all my scratches and just had the tube handy). i applied it to a slightly damp rag and then buffed it out. the residue came off really easily. i suppose that you could use some kind of adhesive remover, but those are pretty oily and i figure it would be harder to get the oiliness off to apply a new emblem. also i wasnt sure how safe that stuff would be to the paint's finish.
anyways, from start to end it took me 11 minutes. that is taking off the orginal emblems to installing the new ones.
good luck, you should have good results... btw, sorry about your emblems being stolen. now is a good time to upgrade all your emblems. that is what i would do. why go back to stock? except, maybe those would be a target too. anyways, take care.

3M Adhesive remover... it breaks down that stuff, and you can clean it up to the point you won't notice an emblem was there.
Careful though.... don't breath the fumes.
They also have emblem/trim adhesive... don't breath these fumes as well. :-/

You mean the originzl jeweled Z emblem with red background? It's the JDM '99 300ZX emblem.

that wasn't the one I saw, I believe the one I saw was a Tommy Kaira one, however that black background with silver Z looks nice, will that cover the holes of the stock nissan one on the back?
