did you take it back to the body shop to get them to refund your money? its not that hard to drill a hole for a bolt then use that metal type fastener that comes on the stock bumper and put it on the Nismo V2. thats what most body shops do.

Went to the body shop. They are standing behind their work and will most likely give me a refund of what it costs to get it fixed since I live so far away from that shop. Good customer service if you ask me. They also said they had to use the sheet metal screws because the underpanel doesnt come far up enough on the bottom lip of the bumper. How could I get this to work? I was just thinking about drilling a hole and putting that metal type fastener that is on the OEM bumper on the lip part and calling it a day.

Glad they are standing behind their work. Just like I said in my PM, the body shop I used stood behind their work and made everything right, but this should had never happened in the first place. With the economy turning to ****, now is not the time to be slacking on work(you have too keep your customers happy, or you will be the next shop that closes down). Good luck on everything and let us know how it turns out. There is a guy on here that just got his Nismo candy painted, if you want to check out his shop. Let me know and I will find the link.

Was this a one day paint kind of place?

The underpannel not fitting is common with V2 bumpers. I've used Zip Ties before which worked just fine in the past. more recently, I decided to use 5/16" fasteners.they are the kind that you fasten the bumper with at the top, but the screw type. i use about 4. Works perfect. Just make sure the pannel is tucked up over bumper. Makes for quick removal of the front bumper. As For the paint, its good you got your money back. It looked like it turned out worse than when I painted my V2 myself (got bored and had time) But I have gotten better at painting and am repainting my V2 again this weekend. It gets easier the more you do it. Now I have friends and people asking me to paint their hoods and bumpers and such. Anyway Good luck with the V2!

my underpanel didnt fit well at first either. so i took the whole thing off and shifted more to the front. That worked well for me. if you need to, you may have to elongate some of the rear ones with a dremel.

never pick up your car when the sun is going down. For those who are new to body kits, now you know what to look for when you inspect the work. ANd be up front with the shop and let them know you want it to look like it came from the factory, and chances are your going to pay the extra $$$. You get what you pay for in the end

Yes they paint and bake the same day. Could you give me more insight on the part your using for your underpanel? thanks
