Default Rear View Mirror Auto Dimming

So i installed a nismo replica spoiler on my car and loving it so far. here's what i noticed, my rearview mirror worked great until this spoiler. I know it blocks a lot of view in the already so small viewing area in the rear, now if there's a bright light directly behind me and i can see it in the center of the rear view mirror it doesn't auto dim itself, it waits till the light appears in the center of the upper half of the mirror and then the auto dim kicks in. Will i have to just live with it or I can fix this?

live with it, or tilt your rearview mirror (i know you won't be able to see the rear properly, but that's how it's gonna be).

I hacked the circuit board with a 580 Ohm resistor parallel to the "back" pickup and cut a trace by the day/night sensor and added 1.2K resistor is series across the gap.
Now mirror activates at sunset to a half dim starting point and doesn't stop working with lots of street lights or on coming light sources.
I hated my mirror for YEARS, now it's fine and 2, 1/8th watt resistors were pennys.
