Default Rusting Roof

This happened a few months ago, but never got around to asking. Anyways, I went out to my car and on the roof i see a couple of medium sized tree branches. When I examined the roof, the paint was chipped to the point where you could see metal. As of now, its completely rusted and orange. Its not big but noticeable. What should I do about this? Just leave it as is? Since its already rusted and the roof is chipped, I was thinking maybe I should just paint the roof black, since thats what i was thinking of doing in the future. Do you know how much it would cost to do that? And for those who have done it, what color/code did you use to do it? Thanks ahead.

You can get an overlay of the CF type to protect the hood for now. What color is your Z?

I got a couple small chips back by the rear hatch that have rusted. Emery finger board and touch up paint , its all good now. I just keep an eye on them for more treatment.

No stevehl, say it aint so!

If I were you, I'd put some of that anti-rust paste(its green, cant remember the name) on until you decide what you're doing so the rust doesn't spread.

Thats weird though, I have a few chips in my paint, one straight down to the metal from when I bought it & I have never seen rust yet. Maybe Im just lucky?
