Default Tightening CF nismo shift ****

My new CF Nismo shift **** is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. After reading all the great posts re: installing new **** , I do not expect any problems, but I just learned that the new **** has a plastic self threading insert and that they easily break if over tightened. Can anyone tell me the correct tightening procedure. I assume I screw it down till it touches the rubber finishing washer, but if the engraved Nismo logo on the top is 1/2 a turn off do I tighten at this point or back off a half turn so as not to break the plastic insert. I have a great track record of over tightening threaded pieces. Many years in construction and my hands are quite strong without me realizing it.
Thanks for your help.

You can tighten it that extra tiny bit, don't worry.

Ya its not that fragile. Just don't get on it with a pipe wrench and 14" cheater bar and you will be fine.

New Nismo CF **** arrived Fri. and I was so anxious I was in the garage 5 minutes later. Really was expecting somewhat of a tough removal, but thanks to threads from this site and the enclosed instructions from Nismo it was a 5 to 10 minute job start to finish. Didn't even scratch the old shift ****. Tightening the new **** was not a problem either. Really can't see how some guys broke the insert by over tightening. Love the feel of the new **** also. thanks for the help.
