Default Rear Right Taillight Not Flush?

I just noticed the other day that my right rear taillight or (passenger side tailight) does not sit perfectly in its place. It sticks out just a little bit where I can actually jiggle it if I wanted to.. I have tint film over both my tail lights but the left one sits perfect.. I made sure the bolts were all tight and tried taking them out and puttting them in 3 times. Its really not bad but ONLY I can notice it.. And being as that I am a perfectionist it drives me crazy.

Three possibilities the way I see it:
  • Taillights not installed correctly - you said you checked this, but w/this forum anything is possible.
  • Bumper not installed correctly, adjust fitment of rear bumper.
  • Accident - your car has been in one (?).

there are plastic pegs in the bottom of the tail light assembly - if you're not super careful taking them out, these can snap (or break just enough where they are no longer doing anything, even though they may still be attached) - take a look and make sure they are still there

+1 This happened to me when i took my 05's out to replace with LED's. I had to get the f(*&&^)g broken peices out with SMALL pliers.

Needless to say i learned my lesson at the expense of the left side's broken peg.

No my car has NEVER been in an accident *knock on wood* and have taken them out about 3 times to figure out why they are like this..

Its the slightest amount and if I took pictures you would probabbly ask me why I am even worried lol..

I check the 2 plastic pegs when I took them out they are both still there.. My thoughts were maybe they holes that the go into arent holding them tight.. Im not really to sure.. I might take a look at them again in the next couple of days and if so I will post some pics.

OR you can just take a nail and hammer and pop it right out.
